When will the next Trench Kids be scheduled?

The event is always scheduled in March every year. Currently with the island back in COVID19 PCOR-1 we are not able to produce any events due to strict government restrictions on gatherings and do not know when we will be back in PCOR-3 or 4 which allows us to run the event with modified starts and protocols that meet DPHSS and CDC guidelines.

2021 event date is still uncertain.

Do you offer refunds?

Unfortunately, No. Trench events has always maintained a "No Refund" policy since 2016. Given the unprecedented effect of COVID-19 to the event industry in 2020, we are unable to make any exceptions. (Very similar to national, international, and local events like Spartan Race, Tokyo Marathon, and UGM) This is stated on the terms, conditions, waiver, and liability indemnification agreement which was mandatory for all registrants to check mark as read and understood on events.com before completing registration and payment. Fanshield ticket protection was also offered.

Re: Fanshield, we are the only local and one of the very few events in the nation that offers registration insurance for a very nominal fee (approximately $3) by Fanshield. If you purchased this coverage and you qualify, you can file your claim directly at https://claims.fanshield.insure/#/

During this challenging time, however, we are temporarily expanding our refund policy to provide the following options for customers who refused insurance coverage and registered for 2020 events which were postponed by Trench Events:

Automatic registration deferment to a future 2021 Trench Kids event.
Registration transfer to another racer. You will need to email info@trenchevents.com with your registration information and full information of proxy. (Replacement Parents name, Email, Phone number, Participant Full Name, DOB, and race category) Note that shirt size may NOT be interchangeable due to inventory limitation
Virtual Option of the 2020 event offered from 1st round September 1st to 10th and 2nd round December 20th to January 14th. All virtual participants receive their 2020 Finisher Shirt and Medal. More info on TK 2020 Virtual Option Page.

What is the Virtual Option?

With the uncertainty of a physical event date this year, we are offering the Trench Kids 2020 Virtual Option, this is a at-home challenge to complete a set of distance + movements to be recorded and submitted online from December 20 till January 14th. A Drive-Thru pickup of Finisher Kits to include finisher shirt and medal will be on Saturday, January 16th at the Harmon GFA Soccer field parking lot. (Docomo Pacific payment drive-thru tent)

Eligibility for the Virtual Race.

This Virtual Race is mainly for participants already registered for the postponed March 2020 Trench Kids Race. If you already participated in the first VR round in September you will not be able to join the second round.

Additionally, if you opted-in for the registration insurance and have already filed a claim with Fanshield and received a refund, your entry will not be eligible.

*50 slots will be available for new participants. 100% of the proceeds to benefit our charity partner Special Olympics Guam. Register in our online store.

Off-Island Participants.

If you are a registered participant from abroad that had plans to travel here to race or a resident that is no longer on Guam, we can arrange mail delivery of your kit. Depending on country, the registration quantity, and rate paid, we may require additional funds to cover postage.

Awards.

No trophies or awards will be issued due to inability of race officials to verify and substantiate results. Individual race times will not be published.

Will my entry defer to the next physical event if I take the Virtual Option?

The Virtual Option is an exit from the physical event to complete and collect your 2020 Finisher Kits.

Once you have gone virtual and collected your kits, your entry will no longer be valid for the physical race.

Please note that, we are very uncertain if this Pandemic situation will allow for an event anytime soon. We highly recommend that all racers go virtual to collect their kits and close out the 2020 race.
